Gathered

Gathered

They gathered all of them
Famous and not so alike
They had something in common
The elders and the little tike

Their differences not so much
On this day
They were not famous or peasants
Had alot in common, some would say

Their common bond this day
Was really quite simple
Coming together each one
Some to talk and some to lull

But in the end, they shared
Each in their own way
The famous, and not, mother and son, the lot
They supped together that day

Maybe not all alike
But, not so different too
Just human beings in this world
Much like me and you.
